Brentford vs. Southend report
Last night Brentford played Southend United in the F.A Cup 3rd round replay at Griffin Park. In the previous game at Roots Hall, the match finished 2-2. The day after that match we heard that Brentford or Southend United would play the Champions Of Europe, Chelsea in the F.A Cup 4th round at either Roots Hall or Griffin Park.
Last night the masses gathered for a replay that will see the home ground of either team be packed out.
The night started well with Brentford dominating the game from the start and Paul Hayes got the better of former Bee Paul Smith to give the Bees the lead in the 1st half. In the second half, Brentford continued to dominate and including a well saved penalty, the Bees can consider themselves unlucky not be further ahead.
Instead of Brentford going in front, Southend equalized and the game was back on...
The Bees who had 29 shots on target, managed to finally squeeze home the 2nd goal through Clayton Donaldson to set up a massive game vs. Chelsea on Sunday the 27th, kick-off 12 o'clock.
The Buzz Blog men of the match are former Bees Paul smith and Mark Phillips, alongside Clayton Donaldson.
