On Saturday, Brentford traveled to Boundary Park to face down the table Oldham Athletic.
In truth the game was comfortable from the start with Clayton Donaldson hitting home after 5 minutes to get things off to a great start, this continued throughout the game but the game was never quite won until the last 10 minutes when it was that man Donaldson again to make it 2-0.
The Buzz Blog man of the match Clayton Donaldson. The striker scored twice and once again pulled out the celebration known as 'The Heskey' which FYI was suggested by one of our reporters before the Boreham Wood match...but keep it to yourself.
So to Tuesday. Brentford are due to play Southend in F.A Cup 3rd round replay to see who will host The Champions Of Europe Chelsea at home in the 4th round.
With the busy schedule ahead, Bees fans will be pleased to hear that Marcello Trotta has signed a loan-extension to stay at Griffin Park until the end of the season.
In other news, there has been no reported bid for a certain Brentford winger who will remain nameless.
