The stage was very much set for a fantastic spectacle in West London.
The visitors where not shy to field the BIG names with John Terry, Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres starting the game, this showed that Rafa Benitez wants to win the F.A Cup.
Right from the start, the Bees started the strongest and when Adam Forshaw had a shot parried by Ross Turnbull it was that man from Italy-Marcello Trotta who pounced and fired the Reds in front in the 42nd minute. BRENTFORD 1 Chelsea 0.
Shortly after this was half time and with that Rafa Benitez, the 'tinker man' was back to his old tricks, the Spaniard brought on fellow countrymen Juan Mata for the 2nd half.
This change clearly worked for the Blues and Juan Mata made the difference and it was Oscar who equalized for the away side. BRENTFORD 1 Chelsea 1 55 minutes.
After this, the Bees seemed motivated to fight for the cup tie and that pressure told when Tom Adeyemi was brought down by Ross Turnbull and a penalty was awarded.
This penalty was taken by Brentford's young talisman Harry Forrester and scored to give Brentford the lead.
BRENTFORD 2 Chelsea 1 73 minutes
After this it was Chelsea who seemed to take the initiative but not without a stern performance from Brentford's back line with Simon Moore and Shalem Logan being the stand-out players.
But Chelsea's experience showed and it was Fernando Torres who equalized for the visitors to set up a replay at Stamford Bridge.
I personally thought Chelsea would win comfortably due to the amount of money their squad costs but that was not the case.
The Buzz Blog man of the match goes to Brentford's number 14 Shay Logan
So we now move on to Yeovil Town away on Saturday...
Both sides in form, Yeovil sit in 7th and the Bees in 4th.
The last time these 2 sides met it was in West London and Yeovil where sitting pretty at the top of the league.
Yeovil have won their last 2 games vs. MK Dons and Sheffield United whilst Brentford are without a win in 3 all be it one of those games was against the Champions Of Europe...
With all this in mind, I'm predicting a 2-1 Brentford win.
